I was looking for several books to keep me occupied for a three-week military training. I have had “SEO” on my goal board for a while now so I thought it was the perfect time to start learning. Of the three books I read over the three-week period, this book proved to be an amazing read with all of the things I look for in a good book. While there is a lot of clutter out there (to include the other two books I finished), this book built the context of SEO, and followed it with action items to improve SEO for yourself and potential clients. I noticed that it took me quite a bit longer to read this book and I believe it is because I was rereading several sections in order to let the information sink in. My book is now painted with highlighted sections and notes on pages on ways to improve SEO for myself, and my clients.
I am giving this book a 5 out of 5 rating! 3 Months to No.1 targets the ambitious upstart or someone who really does not know how to do SEO, which makes the book an easy pill to swallow. One of the best parts of the book is when the author explains how to calculate Google Ad Words in order to evaluate what an effective cost for ad phrases as it relates to the value of a converted sale. This calculation seemed like an overwhelming process that the author breaks down into simple steps that anyone can do. Most of the complex action items have linked videos to the author’s website. The videos are extremely helpful when going through some of the more difficult processes. Do not let me fool you, SEO has so many small details that matter to your searchability and relevance in your key word searches. Even as I wrote this review, I began to pay attention to the small details that make my posts more “crawlable” by the Googlebots. Even the smallest tricks like the use of headings, back links, descriptions of pictures, and on and on and on. This is a marathon not a race, and the need for SEO is no joke. This book was tremendously helpful as I continue to build my knowledge of the topic and advise my clients on the usability and crawlability of their website to help them reach number 1 on the Googles. (Googles is intentionally misspelled for whimsical mispronunciation).

Good work deserves good referrals. If you are in any business that is trying to improve your website SEO, this book is a must have.
